strubbries: i was so very nervous going into this shoot not quite knowing what i wanted captured or how to pose or absolutely anything of that nature as i've never been quite good at posing for a photo that i was not taking. but my goodness, did i feel uplifted, excited, at home, at ease, and so in place with my queerness? @muchomiro was so kindhearted, laid back, welcoming, and lax with the ideas i had and emotion that i wanted to portray within these photos. when talking of ideas or posing, he got excited, which then got me so excited!! i think my most favorite part of this whole process was watching it develop in the liquid and slowly come to life. i tried to hide how excited it made me it was so cool!! i think these photos came out gorgeous, i feel so myself and content. if you want wet plate photography photos and also want to support queers in Tucson, go to Miro! I've been smiling all day from how this has made me feel. He is such a kind person oh my goodness, it was very heartwarming to talk with him afterwards about life, thank you so much for this experience!!!

TESTIMONIALS

tbizzle_sizzle: When @muchomiro asked if l'd model for his beautiful tintype photography studio, I said "YES!" almost immediately lol. What a lovely day/experience this was- the living props were so fun and lush (palm frond scratch be damned though lol). Miro's lens truly captured my softness and curves. Aperfect way to conclude this Leo's birthday weekend. This is 37

meowkele: I turned 30 in November and scheduled a sweet tintype session with @muchomiro to celebrate and reflect on 29. The day was full of such deep happiness. Sitting in Miro's backyard, in a bathtub, dressed in thrifted clothes and a crown, as he walked out smelling like darkroom chemicals with prints of me... I know it's a vision but I felt silly and full and nostalgic. I'm grateful for the graceful, painful, and joyful growth of my 20's and I am so happy to be me. Unsurprising the timing worked out to capture a tender shot of @stonewarewolf and me. There are not enough words to describe how special, full circle, and tender this felt <3

barriobaker: Miro @muchomiro ! We are so grateful to be included in your collection. You are an amazing artist and beautiful human.

mamtapopat: I love doing stories on people who are passionate about something. I love it even more when I get to #photograph a friend who has found a calling in photography. I spent some time with Miro a couple of weeks ago as they photographed a person at their home using wet-plate collodion process.

It was so magical watch Miro at work using a vintage camera I'm really looking forward to my session!
